South Jakarta Deputy Mayor, Edi Sumantri, said Jakarta PMI Monthly Donation 2024 will be held simultaneously in all area by involving Regional Working Unit and community from September 1 to November 30, 2024.

"Today we held meeting to determine our steps in reaching target Rp 9.5 billion," Edi said, Tuesday (8/27).

Edi added that PMI Monthly Donation in South Jakarta last year reached Rp 10.1 billion out of target Rp 9 billion.

"This donation collection is for social and humanitarian actions to help our brothers and sisters who have been affected by disasters or calamities, such as floods, fires, and so on," he added.

Meanwhile, South Jakarta PMI Head, Abdul Haris, thanked the South Jakarta City Administration for facilitating the PMI Monthly Donation preparation meeting in order to socialize the program.

According to him, the purpose of PMI Monthly Donation is to obtain donation for financing social humanitarian activities from the South Jakarta PMI and to realize the implementation of work programs for the next one year to provide benefits to the community.

"Rp. 9.5 billion target refers to our needs for a year which have been detailed, especially in the humanitarian sector," he explained.
